Yay Sicily & other news

Yay Sicily!!! Saturday Sicily or Sissy as we called her was ADOPTED!   Her new family seemed very happy with her and she with them.  So happy for her!!! Finally a home of her own.  She went for a walk with her new owner who was very happy and who thought Sissy walked great on the leash!!  Love ya Sissy!

Our newest foster... Sissie - Can you believe she came to us with almost the same name.  No wonder M gets confused sometimes.  She weighs about 3.5 .lbs and is  about 1.5 yrs.  She is very sweet and can you believe she likes all of us. (we like her too)   Her little tail just wags and wags and she follows M all over.  Really likes to cuddle.  She is way too skinny so she gets fed more often than the rest of us.   ... So NOT fair.  We could use more food at least in our opinion.  Also heard M say she could be a keeper!!!   Of course, she says that a lot about all of the foster or house guests we get.

Thanks Chica  for taking over the 1st part of the post.  Mom here with an update about Ernie.  We took him to the vet and they took more xrays. His strain is now a tear and he is going to have surgery on April 5.  He was doing well but it is hard to keep a fun loving, liking to run dog slowed down.  He went around the corner from the dining room onto the kitchen floor and slipped.  Guess that's what did it.  He's on Rimadyl and Tramadol.  He doesn't like being set apart from the rest of us sooooo - we closed off the living room with an ex pen and put Sasha's bed in there with him and his crate.  It seems to be working better.  Sasha goes into his crate and sleeps and he sleeps on her bed.  Thanks for all your good thoughts and paws crossed.  Have to admit I am not looking forward to having to keep him quiet a whole lot longer.  He's not going to be very happy.  It will work out.
I saw this picture from a while ago in better days  of Sasha and Ernie.  They looked so happy.  Her with her big happy lab smile and him with his favorite squeaky toy. Have a great week.  :-)

  3. We're glad that so many of your fosters are finding homes. With a bit of luck and good thoughts, we're hoping that these will be their forever homes and where they will have happy lives with good food, clean water, respect and alot of love. Ah shoot, we were so hoping that Ernie wouldn't need surgery. Now that it's imminent, we've got just about everything crossed that Ernie's surgery will be a success. I asked my dad and he thinks that Ernie and I kind of look alike. I think that Ernie's a great looking boy.

  13. I know it be no funs at all healing up after surgeries and hasing to stay quiet AGAIN. So easy fur those V-E-Ts to say "stay quiet." They should try it themselves sometime. It seems like fur furefur but then when it be all healed up, it be like nuttin efur happened and it just all be a bad dream. I know easy fur me to say when I is not the one hasing to stay quiet.
