Aspen, Anderson, and Isabella
Aspen, Anderson and Isabella are now a little over 7 weeks old. They are getting very active, eating like little piglets and since they walk thru their food dishes and water dishes, I stopped putting water in their ex pen. Very smart babies. If I hear them doing lots of "talking" I open the door to their ex pen and they hightail it into the other room for a drink.
They are developing personalities and love to snuggle in our necks. We play with them during the day off and on. At night we take them into the TV room with us and play and cuddle with them. Last night they fell asleep on our laps. Last time we had puppies, our grand bipeds were here. Sure do miss their help with babies. They were great. Now it's just me trying to catch 3 puppies when they go exploring.
Since they are also eating real food, they now not only pee a lot but have real poop. We sure go thru the newspapers. Thanks to all our friends who save papers for us.
They will be spayed and neutered soon and then available for adoption. Hoping for great homes for them.
Ernie seems to be doing better. Will know more when we go back to the vet on Wed. Keeping fingers crossed we are not imagining it and that he is improving.
Hope you all had a nice Christmas! Sasha watching over Aspen. Anderson just leaving...

Awww...my dad sure gets all excited when he sees them but my mom still says no :( We're hoping that whoever adopts them, adopts all three at once. It would be nice if that happened. We're hopeful that Ernie is getting better. Maybe it's a Christmas thing, we were all hoping that Ernie would get better and gee, maybe he did.
ReplyDeleteMom always say she don't do puppehs coz they be so much werk. In fact, that is wot she sayed to the laydee at the shelter when that laydee asked her to take me so I started shaking rilly bad and made her feel sorry for me so mom broke her "no baby puppeh policy" and took me. Clever, eh? Hope Ernie gets good news about his bones like I did! I is trying to start a trend.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy week for you! Glad to hear that everyone is doing well!
ReplyDeleteThose pups are sooooo cute. We hope they all find wonderful families.

Hi Everybuddy, we would love to play with those cute pups too. Hope they are soon in their forever homes. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
ReplyDeleteOh, they are so cute, I love them.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh, no wonder they love drinking out of that bowl so much, it is shaped like a toilet!
They always say dogs like to do that.
It will be hard to let them go.
Hugs, Lynne x
We hope you're back to 100% soon, Ernie. Our paws remain crossed!

Little puppies are just like little piglets, aren't they? I say that about my Sandy all the time. She eats nonstop and snorts and grunts...so precious!

ReplyDeletewe are crossing all paws for Ernie and hope he gets a good checkup from the vet.

Wow, what a big job (but a fun one) to foster puppies. You have a huge heart. Thank you, as a dog lover, for helping those puppies.
ReplyDeleteOf course, you do get to enjoy puppy breath!
I hope that Ernie keeps improving. I think that maybe the vet would have figured it out by now if it were something super serious. At least, that's what I'm telling myself.
They are such cuties! I know they will find wonderful forever homes!
ReplyDeletePaws crossed for Ernie! He is a trooper, and such a sweet, strong pup. He is in our thoughts and prayers that he heals and is back to full health in no time!
Happy New Year to you and yours! May 2012 bring you much happiness, laughter, health, love, and success!
