Good News & Not So Good News

Hi furiends, It has been busy but some of us got to go on a long walk with our furiend Sammy from down the street. We had a bit of sun so off we went. Sammy, me(Chica) and Bandit. He's the one with the spot on his back. We went to Lincoln Park and wandered our way home. Of course the 2 Mom's were with us.
Pretty Daffydillys. There were lot of flowers to sniff and check out peemails.
Our foster Bandit. Actually he is visiting while his foster pawrents go to someplace called Hawaii and lots of sun, fun, and sand.
The ferry docking at Lincoln Park.
Bandit and I still walking and checking things out. Love this park. Lots of peemails and stuffs to see.
A freighter in the background. Looks tiny in this picture but it was a beautiful day for a walk there. Lots of peoples and their pups. It was lotsa fun.
Amy was adopted!!!! She is with a loving family and they are very happy with her. Her new Mom's dog had just passed over the Bridge about a month ago.
We think Amy and her will be GREAT together and Amy can go with her to her work!!
Ernie is not feeling well. Mom took him to the vet yesterday. He was throwing up and had the runnies and didn't want to eat. Some of it had blood in it and was very black looking. He is home now with some meds and special food. Mom didn't say much but we could tell her and D were worried.
Hey Chica, Thanks for stepping in and helping Ernie with the post. Do you mind if I take over?
No problem Mom. It's all yours.
Thanks Chica. Well, we don't know yet what is wrong with Ernie but he did have a temperature. He is on antibiotics, had a couple of shots to help with vomiting and diarrhea. We just tried switching to a different kind of food. We have done that before with NO problems. However, this has a higher protein and is the dehydrated raw kind. We were SLOWLY switching but he didn't have any problems until he was having some added to his dry food. None of the other dogs are having any problems. Could be he is just sensitive to this one. Because of the higher protein, it may be causing problems with his digestive and could cause a problem with his pancreas. That is not a for sure thing but could be a possibility. Anyhow, good news is he seems better this morning. This is the first time he has had any problem with food, if that is what it is. Hopefully, this takes care of it so he doesn't have to go in for all the blood work and x-rays. We'll see how things go.
Just realized we are almost at 200 posts. That snuck up on us..
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Love & wags

  5. Poor Ernie, you know, all dogs are different and some don't adapt to food changes very well no matter how slowly you do it. Hopefully the meds will help. We had all that trouble with Ciara when she was young and went through all sorts of prescription diets. Finally Mom said, no more, we are going to grain free and it worked. Hugs to Mom and Ernie - feel better, boy.

Great walk time for the rest of you. Have a great weekend.
