Trickery & a Hike in Lincoln Park

We are pretty smart pups. We thought something was up. Mom gave me a bath yesterday. She said something about all the pitch I had in my hair. It really wasn't that much. At least I didn't think so.. THEN this morning she dressed us up in bright scarves and asked us is we wanted to go for a ride. Of course we did!!! It was fun UNTIL we pulled up outside of the vets office. Then it wasn't as much fun anymore. We had to get checked, they stuck a thingie in our backsides and then said we were good. They checked us all over and listened to our hearts & lungs and felt us alllllll over. Thennnnn we got shots. We're good for awhile now. Thankfully!
Anyways . . .. she also dressed Sasha in a pretty scarf and took her picture too.
Later we went for a long walk/hike in the park. It was a longgg one so we got lots of sniffs and stuff.
That little spot you see in the lower right of the picture is our friend Sammy. Luckily we were out of camera range so we got a break from posing.
Here we are walking along the beach. Sammy is with his Dad, I (Ernie) am with Sammy's Mom. They say we three dogs are a pack. Sasha was sniffing and so was following us along with Mom who is the official picture taker. Notice she & Sasha didn't get their picture taken this time.
A view from the beach. There were a lot of people and other pups there today. Mom was more interested in pics of scenery today. Today the scenery was way better than some of the people we met. Most of them didn't want to let their pups say hi or sniff or anything. They just pulled them along. Maybe the peoples don't really like being out and walking like all of us.
More beach shots. It was a beautiful sunny Fall day.
One can barely see it but the white thing across the bay is a Ferry. It carries lots of cars and people. Sasha & I have never been on one. M & D have.
Heading back up the trail to the top part of the park. Sure wish we could have been off the leash. This is a park that doesn't want pups off leash. Some are let off and if they get caught they have to pay money.
It just started raining so we were lucky to get our walk in early. Have a fun day.

  3. I never understand why the peoples won't let their puppies sniff each other. How else are they going to learn?

The scenery is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Your scarves are so pretty and so is the area where you guys took your walk. Isn't funny that doctors put that little stick in our hineys and say we are okay. Weird

  6. Hi Ernie, I love the picturesque place where you stay... and those autumn leaves are colorful. I don't like to go to the vet too and get dog-handled... good to know you.

  7. Hi Ernie, Hello Sasha,

You both took a bath? How did you feel now...comfortable? The scarves looks nice on both of you...Coffee and Oreo doesn't like scarf much but they prefer cape, you know Batman and Robin hahaha. You took a walk in a very nice place, I miss the beach a lot but now is not the time to go there...bad weather here. Anyway thanks a lot for visiting me today.

  14. hi kiddos! that was pretty sneaky of your mom to take you to the vetty! we're glad you checked out okay. Benson had to go to the vetty last week too and he's okay too. good news!

those are very pretty scenery pictures. of course, nothing compares to you kiddos for beauty, but we like to see that you live in a very pretty area. our walks in our neighborhood are not scenic like that at all, but we do have some good sniffs.

we're glad to see you are having fun and looking good!

    woofs.

  15. Hey guys
Mom was right.. scenic shots were beautiful. But you know I love bandanas. You really look good. Where did you get them? Online? It's too bad that was an on leash park. It's so hard to contain myself on a trail on leash. Good to hear from you!
