We're back again!

Hey everybuddy.... it's me Ernie.    Finally we are back for a bit.  Not sure where all the sun was but we still had a good time and got lots of sniffs and walks.  Of course we all had to be on leash, even though there is lots of room to roam.  We didn't see any but the bears and coyotes have been close by.
Mom got a new toy.  I thought it looked like work but she said it is WAY more fun than pushing the old mower for hours... Didn't look so hard to me.  She likes it's redness....

We took Hadley and Boss with us to the cabin.  She sure had fun running and sniffing and wagging her tail.  She was so busy checking out the place, she had to be reminded to "potty".  Don't think she had ever been to the Country. Sasha stayed home with GG.  Chica,Lucas,Rosie,Hadley,Boss, and I got to go. M said 6 was a lot of dogs but we were all on our best behavior which helped her a lot.  She was so proud of us.  :-)

Yup, she had such a good time she would "crash" and sleep or just rest in M's lap.  Think this was her fave position....
The "flowers" on the Palm tree were blossoming.  Not sure they are a favorite but they are different.  Maybe they aren't even flowers but they aren't  the fronds. As you can tell M isn't a Master Gardener.  She just likes what she likes....

Another view of those almost "flowers".  Maybe they aren't her favorite, but she took multiple pics of them anyway. Think she just likes to click  it.

Now this Mom really likes.  She recently added some Iris to the garden.  She added 6 - only 2 have bloomed so far.  They are supposed to be re-blooming Irises.
The sun kinda washed out the color.  They are very pretty.
Oh yes, Boss (aka Bones to us) was adopted right after we got back.  He now has a 4 year old sister (another Chi) named Chloe. He was fun and we miss him.  His new pawrents are furrrry happy with him.  Mom says he was a sweetie - we say he was full of mischief.  He would wait until we had a lapse in playing with our toys and Then he would come take them and pile them on his bed and play with them. He was either a collector of special toys OR a thief.  Mom liked him being a  collector better that the thief we thought he was.
I am doing better.  M is being very strict with me.  No more lapses on her part.  She has paid more attention, even when the other dogs go out with us. I haven't been able to slip in a jump off the steps.  I have another appointment at the end of June.  It will be 12 weeks since my surgery.  Hoping maybe I can be off leash at least in the yard.....  Have a good week.. Ernie

  3. Hi Ernie, thanks for stopping by. I'm glad that you're doing well. With a little luck and your mom's eagle eye, you'll earn yourself some off leash time in the yard. Now don't get too excited and start running around and jumping because that'll earn you extra "jail or leash" time. Nice little tractor, maybe I could race your mom :)

  4. Oh it's Sam again. Beautiful flowers and palms. My mom said that anytime your mom gets "itchy" gardening fingers that we're up the street and could use your mom's touch.

  14. Howdy Ernie, we love the 'flowers' on your palm. Our mum isn't much of a gardner but she likes whatever looks pretty too. We're glad Boss found a forever home and extra glad you are being careful. Take care mates. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  15. hey Ernie,

Great post! So much going on! Your vacation sounds like it was tons of fun, and with six of you pups I bet you all had a blast! A bit scary that bears were close by, though, but the coyotes would have been fun to tease and chase! Hadley looks so cute in her sleeping position.

So furry happy Bones found such a great and loving forever home! Yay! I know you will all miss him, but sounds like he found the perfect home.

Your palm tree is looking great! And the iris flowers are very pretty.

Ernie, I am so furry happy that you are doing better and that M is watching so closely over you. My paws are crossed that you continue on your healing path and by the time the snow falls you will be running around and playing in your yard with no leash!

P.S. My human loves your mom's new toy! She has to use a push mower for almost 3.5 acres. She hopes to get a toy like your mom's.

  16. we love your mom's new toy. that is pretty shiny red. our mom got a new red toy too. it 's on facebook. it just looks like a stick in the yard with red arms and some rope tied around in a messy fashion. the birds should like it.

we hope you are gonna get off leash someday Ernie. it's been a long time, buddy. we sure hope your knee will hold up. you're gonna have to build up some muscles and get back in shape. we'd love to see you again at the dog park maybe someday, but we don't get to go there as a pack except at 7 am on Sundays. i guess we're too beastly or something. not good dogs like your 6-pack.
