Roo's Back

Bummer of a day... but also Good news Roo is back & happy to be back. The bummer part is the people who adopted Roo & Dusty had some financial problems come up. The bad part is they didn't call us (PUP) the rescue group & explain. They just took Roo & Dusty back to where the adoption event was held & put them in the outside enclosed pen/dog park. The manager of the place where the event was held came across them & called PUP to let us know. Roo is home with us & seems very happy to be here. John, Ernie,Sasha, & Chica all seemed very HAPPY to see her. Dusty is back with his fosters. It looks like there may be a meeting with a family for John tonight. Will know more later. We will be gone for a few days again & we will miss you. We will be back though.. don't forget us. Have a good week!! Ernie,Sasha,Chica's Mom

  1. Oh, wot noggty peeples! Good thing you gotted Roo and Dusty back coz those peeples just showed they is not responsibul enuff to has a dog. Dussn't the adopshun contract say they has to return them to the rescue groop and is not allowed to dump them? They cannot help finanshul trubbulls but you doesn't just dump the dogs like that. How sad that it woz just too good to be true that they would has a home togedder. GRRRRRRR.

  3. The people must have been embarrassed, no excuse, though. At least they didn't just abandon them any ol' place and the dogs made it back to PUP safe and sound!

  6. That's really terrible. Rescues always make clear that the dogs should be returned if the adopters can't keep them. There's really no excuse for doing it that way. Roo is adorable, though, and I'm glad everyone's happy to be back together.

  7. Doggys have such a hard time. All they want and deserve is love and a good home. I am glad you have them again- so they can get reminded of what love is- but this is very sad.

  10. Man, I'd so want to go punch them right now, but the important thing is that the other person knew to call you. I'd say the application needs to be a bit more specific!!

  11. Good grief! What is wrong with people? They had to know that what they were doing to Dusty and Roo was wrong! That just makes me mad!

  16. How irresponisble to just dump them there, anything could have happened to them. Thank goodness the manager called PUP.
Hopefully their next home will be the right one for them.

  18. Welcome back, Roo. Well, that probably wasn't the best way to return a pup, but better than just setting him free. Hope the right home turns up for him.

I can't even put my real feelings on this page bout da people that just dropped him off, unattended. THEY were obviously not meant to be the forever family

  23. My owners sold our home and moved and left me tied up outside with no food or water. In the Alabama heat, I was lucky to survive.

It is better that Roo be with you. Those other people obviously do not understand that a pack protects and loves one another. Shame on them!
