Hi furbuddies, The sun was out and it was warm. Imagine that - it's still winter - no rain.

Sasha & I talked Mom into just taking us and leaving the little ones home this time. It was like old times. Just the 2 of us & Mom. It was fun. The tide was way out so we really had a lot of beach to run on and still water to play in.

Wonderful time. Then we had a long walk back up the hill. Good stuff. WE are ready for Spring and Summer.

Mom is furry excited with the Shelter Challenge.
We started late and were #83 in WA state. As of this morning we had moved up to #43. FANTASTIC. We want to thank ALL of you who have helped and have voted for PUP. Milli will be spayed this Friday and then after a few days or so of recovering she will be going to her forever home. Thanks to every furiend & their peeps.

Sometimes 'reliving the old times " is just what our soul needs. But only for a short time- then its so wonderful to go into the good times with new things and new happiness.

hey Sasha and Ernie,
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet day you two had with your mom! Isn't nice to have your alone time? I know your mom loves all four of you doggies, but it is great to have moments of time where things were the way they used to be; to share those good memories and reinforce the bonds. What great photos, but wasn't the water cold? Is that a lake or the ocean?
Good luck to Milli. How exciting for her to be going to her forever home. And SUPER CONGRATULATIONS on the shelter challenge! That is pawsome!

Oh, I love these pics, remind me of my friends and me playing
ReplyDeleteThat's gotta be Lake Sammamish or Lake Washington. The Sounds is way too cold to swim in even in August. Dad's Goldens way back in the late 70s and early 80s used to go swimming in the sound up on Whidbey Island and dad said that was crazy.
ReplyDeleteWe wish you luck in the Shelter Challenge. Our Shelter started 6 weeks late last time but we took 1st place in WV, but we're getting whupped this time and are stuck in #2 for WV and #60 - #64 nationally.
So, unfortunately we won't be able to support your effort but we do wish you the best of luck.
Have some New England Clam Chowder at Ivar's for us. Dad used to love Mr. Haglund's commercials. It was sad when he passed away in 1985. Dad says he seemed to be well liked around the Seattle area. Dad used to like going down to the Acres of Clams at Pier 54 when he was stationed at Whidbey. It might not be as good now as it was way back in the 70s and 80s.
